Recently, Vina Hydraulic Equipment Joint Stock Company completed an order involving the crimping of both ends for over 100 Sinopulse 5/16'' single-wire hydraulic hoses. This is a smooth cover hose type newly arrived at the VHE hydraulic warehouse.

What is the difference between Smooth Cover and Wrapped Cover hydraulic hoses?

In terms of performance, both smooth cover and wrapped (textured) cover hydraulic hoses share the same pressure ratings and mechanical durability. The main difference lies primarily in their external physical characteristics, which support different assembly requirements:

Regarding the core structure (wire reinforcement): Both types are reinforced with steel wire meshes (1, 2, 4, or 6 layers) to accommodate pressure levels ranging from standard to extreme.

Smooth Cover Hose: Features a sleek surface that is dust-resistant and easy to clean. Notably, this type offers higher flexibility, making it easier to bend and route through narrow gaps or tight corners within machinery.
Wrapped Cover Hose: Features a rougher, textured surface, and its outer rubber layer is typically slightly thicker. Due to this textured design, it provides technicians with a firm grip during handling and offers excellent friction and abrasion resistance in outdoor environments.
