What is a Skive hydraulic hose?

No-skive hydraulic hoses are designed without cutting steps; this is a pre-assembled hydraulic hose with a thinner outer shell than a Skive hydraulic hose. The "No-Skive" hydraulic hose is now widely used for the convenience of assembling a hydraulic hose.
No-Skive hydraulic hose is when the hose and fitting connection are designed and ready to assemble without the need for a trimming process, or removing material from the hose. If the hose is not trimmed, the fitting thread will be pressed into the hose cap, biting into the rubber, which can lead to a less reliable connection. Therefore, a No-Skive hose is used for low-pressure or some medium-pressure applications.
